Join us for an evening of live interviews and conversation with guests from the world of film, television and the creative industries. During the evening our guests will discuss their careers, creative work and experiences across some of the most influential productions in modern film and television.
David Morrissey is among the UK’s most versatile and respected actors, known for a variety of television and stage appearances. His most recent appearances for the small screen include Russell T Davies’ highly talked about Tip Toe for Channel 4, co-starring Alan Cumming, the ITV drama Gone and the BBC’s Sherwood. From 2010, he played the villainous character known as The Governor in The Walking Dead. Other TV dramas include The Long Shadow, based on the manhunt for the Yorkshire Ripper, the epic Sky drama series Brittannia, Red Riding and The Missing, as well as two episodes of Inside No.9. A rare sitcom role for him is as Malcolm in Daddy Issues, which was recently commissioned by the BBC for a third series. David was also in the mini-series State of Play, which saw him winning a Royal Television Society award. He played former prime minister Gordon Brown in The Deal, alongside Michael Sheen as Tony Blair. Those two dramas were written by the acclaimed Peter Morgan. He starred in the memorable 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Next Doctor. He will soon appear as the father of Paul McCartney, Jim, in the four Beatles biopics directed by Sam Mendes.
David’s numerous theatre appearances have included Hangmen, Peer Gynt, in the lead role, and Shakespeare plays such as Macbeth and Julius Caesar. This summer, he appeared in The Oresteia at London’s Bridge Theatre.
Please note: As with some former ones, the guests’ appearances are subject to work commitments, which might possibly arise.
All event bookings are made online via PayPal.
After completing your booking, you will not receive a confirmation from us, but we would have received your payment and all would be absolutely fine – and there aren’t tickets for our events. Your name will instead be added to the relevant event’s payees list. If multiple places are booked, the corresponding number of guests will be added under the same booking.
When arriving at the venue, a member of The Space team will check your name against the payees list and provide entry accordingly. You do not need to bring a printout of your payment receipt and there’s no need to bring it.
Refunds will only be issued if an event is cancelled or if a scheduled guest becomes unavailable.
